Growing manufacturer in Oklahoma City is seeking a strategic and experienced Quality Manager to lead their Quality Management System (QMS). Moving beyond traditional inspection, this role champions a proactive culture of safety, quality, and operational excellence. The successful candidate will drive continuous improvement across all operations while developing team members through dedicated coaching and hands-on leadership.

responsibilities:
- Coach, mentor, and train quality inspectors, machinists, and welders on SPC, inspection methodologies, and quality tools.
- Champion a safe work environment by leading safety talks, participating in audits, and reinforcing safe work practices.
- Drive operational excellence using Six Sigma, Lean methodologies , and structured root-cause analysis to resolve quality issues.
- Serve as the Quality Administrator for ISO 9001:2015; lead the development, implementation, and maintenance of the QMS.
- Lead Factory Acceptance Tests (FAT); oversee dimensional, visual, and functional inspections
- Partner with sales, engineering and manufacturing to resolve complex quality issues and enhance customer satisfaction.
- Ensure machining (CNC) and welding operations meet strict standards; maintain oversight of calibration systems and quality instrumentation.
- Lead vendor audits and support supply chain quality activities to ensure material compliance.
- Track and report monthly key quality metrics, including rework costs and customer complaints (RMAs), to management with clear recommendations for improvement.
Requirements:
- Bachelor's Degree (Engineering or Technical field) required.
- Six Sigma Green Belt Required (Black Belt preferred).
- Proficient in GD&T, blueprints, and welding symbols.
- Experience with ISO, AWS, ABS, and DNV standards.
- AWS CWI Preferred (or must be willing to obtain).
- Proficiency in Microsoft Office and ERP/QMS software.
- Ability to develop team members through dedicated coaching and hands-on leadership
