Job Description
Do you have around 3 years of outboard marine technician experience? Are you completely comfortable with $30-$35/hr? This could be the perfect opportunity for you! The ideal candidate has hands-on experience servicing and repairing outboard boat motors and holds current certifications with Yamaha, Mercury, and/or Suzuki. This role is not suited for candidates with automotive, PWC/jet ski, or non-outboard backgrounds. We are looking for a true marine professional who can diagnose, repair, and maintain outboard engines to manufacturer standards.
salary: $62,400 - $72,800 per year
shift: First
work hours: 8 AM - 5 PM
education: High School
Responsibilities
• Diagnose, service, and repair outboard boat motors in accordance with
manufacturer guidelines
• Perform maintenance and repairs on Yamaha, Mercury, and/or Suzuki outboard
engines
• Conduct engine diagnostics, troubleshooting, and performance testing
• Complete rigging, repowers, and engine installations as needed
• Perform routine services including oil changes, lower unit service, cooling systems,
and fuel systems• Accurately document all work performed, parts used, and labor hours
• Communicate clearly with service advisors regarding repair timelines and findings
• Ensure all work meets Boathouse Marine quality standards and manufacturer
requirements
• Maintain a clean, safe, and organized work environment
• Stay current on manufacturer updates, service bulletins, and certification
requirements
Skills
- Recent Marine Outboard Tech (2 years of experience is required)
