Custodian / Housekeeping Associate

COMPENSATION & SCHEDULE
• $17.00–$18.00 per hour
• 8:00 AM – 4:30 PM or 9:00 AM – 5:30 PM
• W2 employment
• Start date: ASAP
ROLE IMPACT
The Custodian supports daily warehouse and office operations by maintaining a clean, safe, and organized facility. This role directly impacts employee safety, operational efficiency, and overall workplace standards. Success is defined by consistent cleanliness, proper waste handling, and proactive reporting of safety concerns.
• Key Duties
• Sweep and mop warehouse and office areas; empty trash and maintain assigned zones
• Operate trash compactors and corrugate (cardboard) balers, including banding completed bales
• Dispose of corrugated boxes and general waste in accordance with safety procedures
• Report safety hazards or facility concerns to supervisor or management
• Assist with special housekeeping projects as assigned
• Minimum Qualifications
• Ability to perform custodial and general housekeeping duties
• Ability to lift up to 75 lbs and perform continuous physical activity
• Strong time management skills and ability to complete tasks independently
• Equipment & Work Environment
• Frequent walking on concrete floors throughout the shift
• Continuous gripping, pushing, pulling, and fine hand manipulation
• Frequent twisting and bending of the torso
• Frequent use of tools such as utility knives and push bins
• Temperature-controlled building; occasional exposure to dust and cold environments
Preferred Skills
• Prior warehouse or industrial cleaning experience
• Experience operating a baler or trash compactor
• Strong attention to safety procedures
