ABOUT TIN'S

Tin's is a new three-floor restaurant concept on the Lower East Side of Manhattan. First floor: Shanghai Diner. Basement level: cocktail bar. Below that: private dining room. We are in pre-opening and are building out a full team ahead of launch.

THE ROLE

We are hiring barbacks to support the bar team during service and prep. You are responsible for keeping the bar stocked, clean, and running — ice, glassware, garnish, and everything else the bartenders need. When you do your job well, the bar never stops.

RESPONSIBILITIES

• Maintain ice levels at all stations throughout service.
• Polish and stock glassware continuously — no fingerprints, no chips, no shortages.
• Prep and replenish garnishes per bar specifications.
• Restock speed rail, back bar, and refrigerated units during and between services.
• Run drinks from bar to tables when needed — proper tray discipline required.
• Clear empty glassware from bar and lounge areas.
• Assist with juice production, syrup batches, and mise en place during opening duties.
• Break down the bar at close — wash equipment, wipe surfaces, empty ice bins, organize storage.
• Maintain sanitation behind the bar 
• Anticipate bartender needs before being asked.

REQUIREMENTS

• Minimum 1 year barback or bar support experience in a high-volume environment.
• Physical stamina — you are on your feet carrying ice and moving kegs for the full shift.
• Understanding of how a bar flows and how to keep it from falling behind.
• Attention to detail on glassware, garnish, and cleanliness.
• Team-first mentality.
• Punctual and reliable.
• Ability to lift 50lbs

PREFERRED

• Interest in bartending — we promote from within.
• Basic cocktail knowledge.
• Experience with craft ice programs.
• Fluency in Chinese is a big plus
